Shayna is our resident business and sustainability expert, with all the impressive accreditation (LEED AP, Certified Green Building Professional, Green Point Rater). She’s mapped the field pretty thoroughly throughout her career, having worked in both corporate and small-business environments (DuPont, Heal-the-Bay Santa Monica Aquarium, SCS Global Services, and The World Green Building Council). She’s also been on TV, sharing her ecological expertise with the public at large on Planet Green’s “Living with Ed.”

Shayna cofounded the Impact Hub in Budapest, part of Impact Hub Global, a vast entrepreneurial community at the very center of social enterprise. She is also an outreach and business development badass. She lays solid grassroots foundations for every endeavor by building and contributing to community. When she sees a spark, she fans it, relentlessly, until ignition, which is fabulous for your conscious-minded project. Currently she consults for Monmade, a Pittsburg based non-profit that accelerates and supports regional artisan producers.

Amrit Chima is ecoTHINK’s team writer. Her history as a professional journalist and storyteller has been very advantageous to her clients. She nails tone and word choice, her project narratives fully capturing the heartfelt scope of her clients’ work. Her portfolio is diverse, ranging from helping to fund projects for underserved populations beset by drug and alcohol addiction and mental health troubles to a US Embassy proposal for a non-profit in Hungary to support Hungarian women (particularly mothers) in their entrepreneurial pursuits to become financially autonomous. But she most enjoys using her expertise to write grants for impact-driven programs, believing that starting from the ground up (literally) will affect more lasting and positive change, healing both planet and people.
